DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR MARRIAGE APPLICATION
1-MARRIAGE LICENSE CERTIFICATE: This will be obtained from our municipality's marriage registry office. Spouses must apply together to our municipality's marriage registry office.
2-ORIGINAL IDENTITY CARDS: Must include a photograph and show the person's current marital status.
3-PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPHS: Five front-facing photographs, in civilian clothes, showing the person's current appearance. Photocopies of photographs will not be processed.
4-HEALTH REPORT: After couples apply to our office with the required documents, they will be referred to a FAMILY DOCTOR with a HEALTH REPORT TO BE ISSUED AT OUR OFFICE.
5-MARRIAGE FEE: It can be paid at our Municipality's Real Estate office with the declaration number.
6-SURNAME CHANGE APPLICATION FORM: Female citizens who wish to use their surname must obtain an application form from our office, fill it out, and submit it during the application process.

WARNINGS
Couples must be present together at the application.
Men and women who have reached the age of 16 (sixteen) marry with a court decision.
Men and women who have reached the age of 17 (seventeen) marry with parental permission. Parents must be present with their original identity cards to sign a consent form at the application. If parents cannot attend the application, they must bring a notarized consent form. If one of the parents has died, the signature of the surviving parent or, in case of divorce, the parent to whom custody has been granted, is sufficient. Men and women who have reached the age of 18 (eighteen) and are not under court protection may marry without the consent or permission of another person. For a divorced or widowed woman to remarry, 300 (three hundred) days must pass from the date of divorce or death of her spouse. If this period (iddet period) has not expired, a court decision is required to lift the iddet period.

*Multilingual documents do not require translation and notarization.
*Apostilled documents are processed after Turkish translation and notarization.
*Documents of foreign status are translated into Turkish The document is processed after translation, notarization, consular approval, and approval by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.
2) Birth Certificate (Geburtsurkunde)( birth certificate)( certificato di nascita ) ( certificat de naissance ):
*If not multilingual, it is processed after Turkish translation and notarized approval.
3)Identity Card or Passport: It is processed after Turkish translation and notarized approval. will be taken.
4)Passport Photo: Five copies, taken from the front, in civilian clothes, showing the person's current appearance.
NOTE: CITIZENS WITH DUAL NATIONALITY MUST HAVE THEIR MARRIAGE CEREMONIES CONDUCTED AS CITIZENS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY.
THOSE WHO WERE PREVIOUSLY CITIZENS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY MUST PROVIDE A POPULATION REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE STATING THAT THEY HAVE RENUNCIATED THEIR CITIZENSHIP OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY.

Note : Marriage ceremonies are performed on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
They are not performed on religious and official holidays.
