OCCUPANCY PERMIT (BUILDING USE PERMIT)
WHAT IS A BUILDING USE PERMIT?
A building use permit is issued to buildings whose construction has been completed, after all technical procedures related to the building have been completed, confirming that the building conforms to the permit and its annexes, that there are no objections to its use from a technical and health perspective, and that it includes; permit information, construction completion date, title deed registration, address, types, numbers, square meters, classes of independent sections, and owners, and is issued by our Municipality's Directorate of Zoning and Urban Planning. This is a document issued by the Construction Works unit.
CAN'T WE LIVE IN OUR BUILDING WITHOUT A BUILDING OCCUPANCY PERMIT?
According to the law, you cannot subscribe to water, electricity, telephone, etc. in your building without obtaining a building occupancy permit.
WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED WHEN OBTAINING A BUILDING OCCUPANCY PERMIT?
1- Application Letter
2- Approved Construction Permit
3- Title Deed
4- Social Security Institution (SSK)
5- If applicable, shelter, elevator, and fire extinguishing system reports
6- 13x18 cm photographs of the building's facades
HOW TO OBTAIN A BUILDING OCCUPANCY PERMIT?
To obtain an occupancy permit, the building owner, contractor, or authorized representative must apply to our Municipality with a petition. The Building Occupancy Permit technical staff who receive the application will check on-site whether the building has been constructed in accordance with the permit and its annexes. If the building has no technical deficiencies, the owner or contractor must provide the Civil Defense Directorate's shelter report and the building's technical supervisor with a building inspection report.
For buildings with completed files (the documents mentioned above), an application is made to our municipality's Construction Works unit with 3 photocopies of the title deed for each independent section. After the building occupancy permit fees and participation shares are collected and the tax office is cleared, a Building Occupancy Permit is issued for the independent sections.
Water, electricity, and telephone subscriptions can also be obtained by applying to the relevant institutions with the building occupancy permit.
